What makes Kythnos unique

The thermal baths of Loutra, in the north of the island, have been frequented since Roman times. Their warm, mineral-rich waters offer an incomparable moment of relaxation after a coastal stroll. The village of Dryopida, with its red-tile roofs (a rarity in the Cyclades) retains a charm all its own. Chora, the capital, unspools its paved lanes between whitewashed chapels and flower-covered houses. The beaches of Kythnos, often accessible only on foot, reward walkers with turquoise waters and absolute calm.

When to visit Kythnos

The thermal springs operate mainly from June to October. Spring offers the finest conditions for coastal strolls, with mild temperatures and nature in bloom. Kythnos pairs naturally with Kea, its close neighbour. Explore all our trips in the Cyclades.
