What makes a Kelifos guided trip so special

At Kelifos, a guided trip is not a classic circuit. It is a cultural and human immersion, led by guides who live in Greece, speak the language and maintain bonds of friendship with the artisans, winemakers and fishermen you will meet along the way.

A local guide, not just a group leader

Our guides are Greece enthusiasts who have lived on the ground for years. They do not simply show you the path: they share the stories of the villages you cross, take you to taste meze in a family taverna you would never have found alone, and explain why that hilltop chapel is the secret heart of a hamlet. It is they who transform a beautiful landscape into a lasting memory.

Small groups, big connections

Our trips gather between 6 and 14 participants, and that changes everything. Enough for conviviality and the pleasure of shared meals, few enough for everyone to find their place, ask questions and walk at their own pace. In the evening, around a terrace table with a sea view, you share the day's impressions as among friends.

Everything is taken care of

Charming addresses selected one by one, transfers between islands or stages, your luggage awaiting you at each stop, lunches in local tavernas, wine and terroir tastings: you do not have to think about a thing. Each day is designed to alternate moments of discovery and free time, with an easy pace that leaves room for a stroll, an impromptu swim or a Greek coffee on a terrace.

Our guided destinations: from the Cyclades to Crete

The Cyclades

Santorini, Naxos, Sifnos, Serifos, Milos: each island of the Cyclades has its own character, its flavours, its light. In a small guided group, you follow the kalderimia, those marble-paved paths linking villages for centuries, discover coves accessible only on foot, and taste cheese from a shepherd met on the trail. Your guide knows the best hours to admire the caldera, the pottery workshops to visit, the taverna where the owner still prepares revithada in a wood-fired oven.

Crete

The largest Greek island lends itself beautifully to guided travel. Spectacular gorges, plateaux covered with centuries-old olive trees, mountain villages where time seems to have stopped: Crete reveals itself fully when a local guide opens the doors of its culture. Here, gastronomy is an art of living, and each stop is an occasion to taste a graviera cheese aged at altitude or a salad prepared with herbs from the garden.

The Ionian Islands

Greener, more secretive, the Ionian Islands offer a different face of Greece. Cypress forests, villages with Venetian accents, deep blue waters between the Adriatic and Ionian seas. Accompanied by a guide who knows every coastal path and every hidden cove, you discover an unspoilt archipelago where slow living is not a cliche but a daily art.

When to go and what is included

The best seasons for a guided trip

Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) are the seasons we favour. Temperatures are ideal for walking without the summer heat, the islands live at their natural rhythm far from the crowds, and the light (softer in spring, more golden in autumn) transforms every vista. It is also the season of village festivals, colourful markets and the first or last swims in still-warm water.
