July in Greece is Mediterranean joie de vivre at its finest. Evenings stretch out on a terrace facing the Aegean, a glass of Santorini white wine in hand. The meltemi (that cool northern breeze) tempers the heat across the Cyclades and turns every afternoon into a moment of pure serenity. You walk early in the morning light, swim at noon, and stroll through jasmine-scented lanes at dusk. Let yourself be guided on one of our accompanied journeys or set your own rhythm in complete freedom.

Temperatures climb between 28 and 33 degrees, but the sea breeze and the meltemi keep the air perfectly comfortable, particularly in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese. The sea reaches 24 degrees, a turquoise and velvety water that beckons at any hour. Days offer nearly 15 hours of light, and the sunsets, around 8:45 pm, are a daily spectacle.
This is the month of village festivals (the panigyria) where you share music, dancing and tables laden with mezze alongside the locals. Markets overflow with peaches, early figs and fragrant tomatoes. Life unfolds outdoors, in a warm and generous atmosphere.
The Cyclades are the quintessential choice for July. The meltemi naturally cools the islands: Naxos and its paths between villages and beaches, Paros and its fishing harbours, Sifnos and its flavours. Favour morning walks to enjoy the freshness. Discover the Cyclades.
The Ionian Islands offer a few degrees less than the Aegean islands. Corfu, Kefalonia and Lefkada are fringed with shaded coves and pine forests that reach down to the sea. Ideal for alternating a walking holiday with seaside relaxation.
For those who prefer the mainland, Epirus surprises with its coolness: the Vikos Gorge, the stone villages of the Zagori and crystal-clear rivers form a mountain landscape where the thermometer stays gentle. Explore Epirus.

— great trip... the sites are very well signposted... no problem following a hike... we were even able to enjoy the sea... except in Milos... but we still found the maps very precise.
