Travelling independently does not mean travelling without a safety net. On the contrary: it means having the certainty that everything is ready for you, without having to manage a thing. Here is what we prepare before your departure, so that every day is a worry-free pleasure.
Your luggage awaits you on arrival. Each morning, you leave your bag at reception and find it again in the evening at your next charming address. You walk or ride light, with just a small day bag: a water bottle, a camera and the wish to wander.
Route notes and a GPS app on your phone guide you step by step, without ever imposing a rhythm. The paths are waymarked, alternatives signposted, and each stage punctuated with suggestions: a chapel not to miss, a cove for swimming, a taverna where you should sit down for a meze.
Charming addresses hand-picked with care. We personally select every hotel, every guesthouse, for their character, their comfort and their location. No anonymous chains: places run by attentive hosts, where you are welcomed with a smile and sometimes a glass of raki.
Local support, around the clock. Our correspondent on the ground speaks your language and knows every island inside out. A change of plan, a wish to alter your route, a restaurant recommendation? A simple call is all it takes. You are free, never alone.
Greece offers ideal terrain for self-guided travel. Each archipelago has its own personality, its own treasures to discover along the hidden paths.
The Cyclades, with their whitewashed villages clinging to the hillsides and marble-paved paths linking hamlets, lend themselves beautifully to wandering. Sifnos and its artisan potteries, Serifos and its secret coves, Naxos and its citrus orchards: so many islands to savour at your own pace, moving from a shaded terrace to a coastal path bathed in light.
Crete, island of a thousand faces, invites you to alternate walks through spectacular gorges with gourmet pauses in mountain villages. Here, every stop is a pretext to taste cave-aged sheep cheese, cold-pressed olive oil, thyme honey gathered on the hillside. Minoan and Venetian heritage punctuates the days with cultural discoveries.
The Ionian Islands, greener and lusher, captivate with their endless olive groves, cypress forests and waters of an almost unreal blue. Corfu, Kefalonia, Zakynthos: secret trails between sky and Adriatic, a slow-living atmosphere that invites you to extend every stop.
Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) are the periods we favour for our self-guided trips in Greece. These are the seasons when the islands reveal themselves in their most beautiful light, far from the summer crowds.
In spring, the hills dress in wildflowers, temperatures invite walking without ever overwhelming, and the village terraces are still peaceful. It is the season of first swims, colourful markets and village festivals where you share a glass with the locals.
In autumn, the sea retains its summer warmth and the light becomes more golden, more enveloping. The grape harvest is in full swing, the figs are at their peak, the olives begin to ripen. The rhythm is slower, more intimate: exactly what you seek when travelling at your own pace.
Whatever the season, our Kelifos advisors (true connoisseurs of every island) guide you towards the trip best suited to your wishes and the weather of the moment. A simple conversation is all it takes to find the holiday that speaks to you.
Irene 6/23/26 • Corfu by e-bike in 8 days - Kelifos
— The early-morning flight allowed us to visit Corfu, an island covered with magnificent olive and cypress trees. We didn’t suffer from the heat, and we went swimming without any problems. Our travel advisor had insisted that we choose electric bikes, and we didn’t regret it
— The itinerary was wonderful, and the choice of hotels was spot-on and exactly what we wanted: small, family-run, and in great locations.

Brigitte 12/27/25 • Ionian Islands by boat and bike, 8 days - Kelifos
— A very warm welcome on board from two guides who were very helpful and attentive to our needs as passengers. Dionisos in particular was exceptional. Disappointed by the proposed destinations following program changes. Overall, a very expensive trip compared to reality. Poor value for money. Great discomfort for some: beds and bedding wet, water oozing down the walls.
