Picture this: you rest your bike on the deck, settle at the dinner table as the sun dips behind the hills of Kefalonia, and the boat glides gently towards your next port of call. Tomorrow morning, a new island awaits, its roads lined with olive trees, its secret coves and its villages where coffee is savoured facing the sea. For eight days, this will be your daily life: ride in the morning through unspoilt landscapes, then find the comfort of your cabin and the flavours of Greek cuisine on board your traditional wooden sailing boat.

Kelifos invites you to discover the Ionian Islands in a unique way, combining cycling and sailing. From Corfu to Paxos, via Lefkada, Kefalonia, Ithaca and Meganisi, you explore six islands without ever packing and unpacking. The boat is your floating home: your belongings stay in the cabin, and each evening a new harbour welcomes you with its lights, its tavernas and its island atmosphere. The e-bike option, which we warmly recommend, transforms the Ionian hills into a leisurely ride: you enjoy the panoramas without effort, you stop when a viewpoint calls, you arrive refreshed and ready to savour every moment.

This is a trip designed for pleasure, where sea and cycling complement each other in perfect harmony. No luggage to carry, no transfers to arrange, no logistics to manage. Simply the happiness of being carried along by the wind, the road, and the Greek joie de vivre.

Practical information

Stages vary from 17 to 40 km per day, on mainly asphalted, quiet roads. The terrain is hilly, sometimes mountainous on Kefalonia and Ithaca. With an e-bike, which we warmly recommend to make the most of each day, the climbs are gentle and the trip remains a pleasure from start to finish. You are free to adapt each day: half a day riding and the afternoon on board to read or swim, or the full stage for the most curious. Helmet wearing is compulsory.

Nothing to carry. Your belongings stay in your cabin throughout the trip. A small daypack is all you need for your rides.

Registration from one person (single cabin compulsory for solo travellers). A minimum number of participants is required to confirm each departure.

8 days / 7 nights / 6 cycling days.

A Friday, from mid-April to late October.

You travel in an international group. The crew speaks English and German; a guide accompanies each cycling stage. A basic understanding of English is helpful. You may also choose to ride independently using the RideWithGPS app, with detailed maps and itineraries.

We provide a digital travel pack in English before departure, with your trip briefing and all practical information. On board, detailed itineraries are provided in English. Each morning, a briefing is offered on the day's stage.

Your cabin

Double cabin on the lower deck. Bed linen and bathroom towels are provided. Option to book an upper deck cabin (with supplement) or a single cabin (subject to availability).

Dining

Full board for 2 days and half board for 5 days, as per the programme. Meals on board feature Greek cuisine with fresh produce. Please let us know of any food allergies at the time of booking. A special diet (gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan) can be prepared for a supplement.

Start

Day 1 at 2 pm on board the boat, in Corfu harbour.

End

Day 8 in Corfu harbour, disembarkation after breakfast.

We advise against bringing your own bike (22 kg weight limit on board) and personal e-bikes are not permitted. Helmet wearing is compulsory; we recommend bringing your own (a few helmets are available for hire on board, reservation compulsory at booking).

Quality bikes are available for hire: classic hybrid bikes (24-speed Shimano, aluminium frame, available in men's and women's models) and e-bikes (powerful motor, 9-speed, Shimano hydraulic brakes, contained weight). A waterproof pannier is provided for the duration of the trip.

By air

Flights are not included in the trip. There are numerous direct flights to Corfu from the UK and across Europe. Take care not to book too early a flight on the last day.

Corfu port is approximately 4 km from the airport. Bus line 15 (approximately 20 min, 2 EUR) or taxi (approximately 15 min, 15 EUR). We can also arrange a transfer; contact us.

Many stages offer opportunities for swimming, during the ride or at the ports of call. The waters of the Ionian Islands are among the most limpid in the Mediterranean; it would be a shame not to enjoy them.

— A very warm welcome on board from two guides who were very helpful and attentive to our needs as passengers. Dionisos in particular was exceptional. Disappointed by the proposed destinations following program changes. Overall, a very expensive trip compared to reality. Poor value for money. Great discomfort for some: beds and bedding wet, water oozing down the walls.

— On the boat side, as long as the weather was fine, it wasn't too much of a problem, despite the very small cabins. In the rain, it was simply unacceptable, with water running through all the cabins, soaking the carpets as well as the mattresses and bedding. On the other hand, as far as the crew was concerned, they were very nice, and the food was very good and varied..... we still had the strong feeling that the captain was taking us wherever he wanted. As for the bikes, nothing to complain about, they were very, very good and our guides were extraordinary.

FREDERIC12/27/25

— Very nice holiday, but a few too many early cancellations (e.g. Paxos) because of the weather, which didn't always seem very justified...Super TOP guide (mainly Dionysis) who was very professional, very knowledgeable, very smiling and friendly, and above all very pleasant to all of us. He greatly contributed to the success of our vacation...On the other hand, the "Panagiota" is at the end of its life and unworthy of sailing with 20 passengers who, for the budget they paid, expect a minimum of comfort (and no water flooding the cabins...! ). What's more, her captain was sometimes a little on the edge...

Frederique12/27/25

— The guide saved the day, both on the boat and in trying to keep us on schedule. The latter was not followed in its entirety, we did not dock on at least two islands on the program, the boat can be considered unsanitary and even dangerous, my mattress was soaked with water, the floor of our cabin covered with an old carpet was soaked, in the dining room rainwater was running continuously on the electrical panel, and in other parts of the room (video available) the staff did everything possible on board and we were very good composition to stay on board.

Yves12/27/25

— wonderful friends, committed, friendly and competent guides, beautiful country. boat not up to our expectations or the high price.

Denis12/27/25

— The gloomy weather was certainly a factor, but Grand Angle is obviously not to blame. The condition of the boat is a very negative point. On the other hand, the crew was great and the two guides (dedicated and very attentive) were excellent, especially Dionysios, who was very enthusiastic.

Geoffroy12/27/25

— Excellent organization, good quality bikes, exceptional guide, but a very uncomfortable boat for travelers and especially the crew.

Damien12/27/25

— I'd put together a good group of friends for this trip, so we had a lot of fun. But you failed in your mission by renting such a boat. I'm going back to the Dolomites from January 26, 2026 to February 1 with Grandangle, and I hope I won't have any more unpleasant surprises...
