A shaded terrace above a sleeping harbour, the scent of capers carried on the breeze, a glass of ouzo set between the olives and the still-warm feta. This is how a day begins on Serifos. Two islands of the western Cyclades, spared by mass tourism, open their stone pathways, their hilltop monasteries and their turquoise coves to you: a walking holiday in a small group where comfort and culture always come first.

This guided trip of 8 days takes you from island to island, carried by the rhythm of Aegean ferries. Serifos, wild and secretive, reveals its forgotten hamlets and its 16th-century monastery clinging to the hillside. Sifnos, gastronomic capital of the Cyclades, wraps you in its trails lined with artisan pottery, its whitewashed chapels and its tavernas where the revithada has been simmering since the day before. Kelifos has selected charming addresses for you, a passionate English-speaking guide, and a gentle rhythm that leaves room for impromptu swims, terrace conversations and shared sunsets.

Practical information

You stay in charming family-run boutique hotels, in double rooms with private bathroom. These addresses, selected by Kelifos for their authenticity and the quality of their welcome, reflect island hospitality: small-scale establishments, run by families, where you feel at home from the very first evening. Single room available subject to availability.

The table is an essential part of this journey. Breakfasts are served each morning at the hotel. Lunches take the form of picnics of local produce: fresh cheeses, olives, country bread, enjoyed facing the sea or in the shade of an olive tree. Each evening, you sit down at a carefully chosen taverna to savour Cycladic cuisine: grilled fish, Santorini fava, marinated capers, all accompanied by island wine. All meals are included from breakfast on Day 2 to breakfast on Day 8, except dinner on Day 7 in Athens. Please let us know of any allergies or dietary requirements at the time of booking.

This trip is designed to be accessible to all walkers, even occasional ones. Walks last from 3 to 5 hours 30 per day, at a gentle pace that leaves time to contemplate, photograph and swim. Climbs remain moderate (450 m maximum in a day) and the paths, well marked, present no technical sections. You carry only a small daypack with your daily essentials; the rest awaits you at the hotel. It is enough to enjoy walking and to be in good general fitness to make the most of every stage. Kelifos is committed to respectful tourism: our trips are designed to preserve the tranquillity of the islands we love.
