Paxos
Pastel gentleness on the water

Barely ten kilometres long, yet a whole world. Paxos is the island you discover by boat from Corfu and leave with reluctance: miniature harbours with pastel facades, centuries-old olive groves, sea caves where the light plays with the turquoise. Here, everything invites you to slow down.

What makes Paxos unique

Three villages (Gaios, Loggos and Lakka) set the scene on an island that has remained intimate. Each has its small harbour where fishing boats sway between tavernas and artisan shops. Shaded trails cross olive forests so dense you walk in welcome coolness before emerging onto spectacular west-coast cliffs. The sea caves of Ipapanti and Ortholithos can be visited from the water, revealing unforgettable plays of light. And to extend the escape, tiny Antipaxos is just ten minutes away by boat, with its crystal-clear beaches.

When to visit Paxos

Spring (April to June) is ideal: the olive trees are in bloom, mild temperatures invite leisurely strolling and the coves are still peaceful. Autumn (September to October) offers warm seas and golden light perfect for coastal walks. Browse all our trips in the Ionian Islands or discover the neighbouring island of Corfu.
