What makes Kefalonia unique

The beach of Myrtos, cradled between two verdant headlands, offers a spectacle of colours that photographs struggle to capture. In the north, the village of Fiskardo has preserved its Venetian architecture intact: waterside terraces, ochre facades and sailboats at anchor compose a living postcard. On the other side of the island, Assos nestles beneath its fortress on a dreamlike peninsula. Mount Aenos, cloaked in an endemic forest of Greek firs, invites walks at altitude facing an exceptional panorama. And everywhere, local producers welcome you: Robola wine, dry and mineral; honey pastries and goat cheeses enjoyed in family tavernas where generosity is a way of life.

When to visit Kefalonia

Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) are the ideal seasons. The September grape harvest adds a festive dimension to your stay. Discover nearby Ithaca or Lefkada further north.
