Practical information

You stay in carefully selected charming boutique hotels and family guesthouses, in double rooms with private bathroom. In Chania and Santorini, the addresses are chosen for their character and location. Your luggage is transferred from stage to stage from Day 3 to Day 6: you carry only a small bag with your daily essentials.

Breakfasts included each morning. Dinner included at Omalos. For other meals, you are free to choose from the tavernas and restaurants we recommend in your route guide. Cretan cuisine, olive oil, sheep's cheese, wild herbs, grilled fish, is among the most flavourful in the Mediterranean.

Walking days vary from 3 to 6 hours, on well-marked trails. The descent of Samaria Gorge (Day 5) is the longest day but remains gradual and accessible. The pace is designed to leave time to stop, contemplate and swim. No athletic prowess is required, simply the pleasure of walking through magnificent landscapes.

From 2 people. Travel in complete freedom, at your own pace.

The trip begins on Day 1 at Chania airport and ends on Day 12 at Santorini airport.

Spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) offer ideal conditions: magnificent light, mild temperatures, trails free from the summer crowds. This is Greece at its most enchanting.

— A great way to discover Crete, with sporting routes and beautiful scenery, magnificent in spring and pleasant temperatures.

— Sporty hikes best done in spring for the flora or in autumn, especially on Santorini where there is little shelter from the sun. Excellent organization by Grand Angle.
