GRCLP0010 - Trek : La Grande Traversée de Corfou

From Homer to Lawrence Durrell, Corfu has always enchanted those who take the time to discover it. This emerald island, the greenest of the Ionian Islands, unfurls its centuries-old olive groves, its cypress forests and its secret coves like so many invitations to linger. With Kelifos, we have designed an eight-day traverse of the island, a self-guided walking holiday that follows the most beautiful passages of the celebrated Corfu Trail. No logistics to worry about: your luggage is transferred from one accommodation to the next, the stages are planned to leave room for contemplation and swimming, and your route guide reveals the secrets of each village along the way.

Practical information

You stay in carefully chosen charming addresses: 2 to 3-star hotels and guesthouses, with private bathroom. In Kerkyra, your hotel is in the historic centre. In Liapades, your accommodation overlooks the bay. Your luggage is transferred from one stage to the next: you carry only a small daypack with your daily essentials.

Breakfasts are included each morning (except on Day 4). For lunches and dinners, the local tavernas offer generous and flavourful Ionian cooking. Your route guide points you to the best addresses at each village stage.

This point-to-point trip is designed for regular walkers. Walks last from five to seven and a half hours, on well-marked paths, tracks and minor roads. The pace leaves time to stop, enjoy the panoramas and swim in the coves. Most stages can be shortened by a transfer if you prefer a quieter day.

From 2 people.

The trip begins on Day 1 at Kerkyra airport (Corfu) and ends on Day 8 at your hotel in Kerkyra.

From April to June and September to October. Corfu is very busy in summer, so this point-to-point trip is not available in July and August. Spring and autumn offer ideal conditions: golden light, pleasant temperatures, peaceful trails.

Vincent12/27/25

— A very nice hike away from the Corfu beaches, but the level is more like 2.5 or 3 in the sunshine.

François12/27/25

— A beautiful trip and some great hikes. Breathtaking landscapes at times, subtle marriages of colors, from the greens of nature dominated by olive trees to the blues of the sea and sky. On one of the five days, there were a few too many roads (tarmac or not).

Pierre12/27/25

— Beautiful immersion on the island of Corfu. Stages that vary greatly in scenery and difficulty, but are best enjoyed with ouzo and daily swims. For hikers who can stand the distance and the June heat.

Jean-Marie 12/27/25

— Omnipresent landscape of olive trees throughout the route. Not enough approaches to the seaside. A few interesting spots, but nothing cultural. Unfortunately, too much garbage and wrecked vehicles along the roads and tracks. Many of the villages we passed through were uninteresting.
